Asus enlarges their flagship phone with the new Zenfone 11 Ultra

Over the past few years, Asus had taken over the mantle of small phone champion as the Zenfone 9 and 10 were two of the only remaining compact Android smartphones still sold on the market. In 2024, they now have reversed that philosophy and will embrace the “bigger is better” mentality with the release of the Zenfone 11 Ultra.

With a screen size bumped up to 6.78-inches, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC backing it, the Zenfone 11 Ultra should be comprable to other flagship devices on the market. At a $899 starting price, it isn't neccesarily the cheapest phone with Qualcomm's flagship chipset, but the hefty 5,500 mAh battery and the larger size may attract a more general crowd of potential buyers than a smaller phone would have. It remains to be seen whether Asus will still continue to produce smaller phones in addition to the 11 Ultra.
