Unboxing the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition

Disclaimer: POCO sent us a unit of the Buds Pro free of charge to review, but all thoughts and opinions expressed in this video are our own and were not discussed with the company prior to publishing.

This may very well be the best unboxing experience we’ve done here yet at The Sypnotix. Thank you to POCO for sending us the new POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition to review. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Genshin Impact, it’s an open world RPG game available on mobile, the Nintendo Switch, and various other platforms. This special collaboration gives the POCO Buds Pro a unique look completed with voice integration of the Genshin Impact mascot, Klee. I’m Lida from The Sypnotix - let’s unbox this amazing package together.

It’s All in the Details

We’ve unboxed and tested a lot of earbuds on our channel over the years and right off the bat, there’s something instantly special about this box. It really comes down to the details that truly make an unboxing experience unique. The package comes packed with a basic outer box that has the Genshin Impact logo printed boldly next to the POCO logo. Inside that box, you’re greeted with another box, but it isn’t just any regular box. This is a gorgeous box shaped like the book known as Dodoco Tales, which is a 4-star catalyst in the game. POCO did a fantastic job here replicating the design. The individual details and lining of the book is sensationally replicated even down to the distinct cutouts of the shape of the box. I see myself using this as a piece of geek decor in my bookcase in the future. Next to the Dodoco Tales box is the USB-C to USB A charging cable, a keychain, a manual, paperwork, and extra earbud tips in a vibrant red color.

When we finally flip open the Dodoco Tales, the literal star of the show appears: it’s Klee’s backpack carrying case which houses the special edition POCO Buds Pro themselves. Everything about this carrying case is thoroughly impressive. The attention to detail for an accessory is just immaculate. The buckles and the keychain have a really nice gold matte finish to them and the stitching and accents on here are really gorgeously assembled. Even the little straps on the backpack feel premium and sturdy and I have not been as impressed with an unboxing experience like this in a long, long time. These attention to detail production value things really make this product stand above anything we’ve unboxed from a consumer tech brand. For a hot second, I thought we were back on Alex’s old Youtube channel when he professionally reviewed geek products. That’s how nice looking and collectable this was.

So when we finally stopped gawking at it and opened up the backpack, you can see the same red accent that we saw in the accessories earlier transferred over onto the POCO Buds Pro charging case. Again, there’s a lot of really nice detail on these earbuds down to the gold outlined USB-C port on the bottom of the case and the logo on the back. When you open the earbud case, you’re also welcomed with the same gold and red theme that we’ve been seeing throughout this video so far. Klee’s insignia is smoothly printed on the face of the earbuds for a beautifully contrasted appearance. I love the tone and overall theme POCO decided to go with on this collaboration. When it comes to Genshin Impact, I’d say the signature recognizable characters would be Amber and Klee. Between the two of them, Klee is hands down the logical choice to use as marketing material for the franchise. Incorporating her color scheme and insignia was a good choice by POCO and miHoYo.

These Earbuds Look Familiar

We’ll share more about the performance of the earbuds themselves in our full review of the POCO Buds Pro, but for now, we’ll revel in the fun unboxing experience this has been for us. It'll be exciting to test these out with daily use. POCO advertises 28 hours of total battery life with its charging case that also supports wireless charging. The POCO Buds Pro has active noise cancellation, touch controls, and is IPX4 waterproof. The last unique thing about these Genshin Impact special edition earbuds is that it also uses Klee’s voice as notification signals when connecting and disconnecting from Bluetooth. You’re greeted with voice acted lines from the adorable pyro character. It’s a nice bonus detail that is fun and really shows POCO going the extra mile with this collaboration.

Ironically when we opened up these earbuds, I had deja vu and realized they look and feel exactly like the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Pro that Alex recently reviewed. On the spec sheet, both of these earbuds share a 9mm driver with 35 DB noise cancellation capabilities. They both also have dual transparency modes and wireless charging. We’ll see whether the similarities between the products are purely aesthetic, or if they share replicated performance from the sister companies in our full review.

Let me know what you think of the design of the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition. I’m excited to use these as my daily earbuds and find the design to be so endearing.
